Marc Hannah was born on October 13, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, which is where he grew up. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1977 to study Electrical Engineering. He got a scholarship from the Bell Laboratories at AT&T and attended Stanford University to get his M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree. With the help of 6 other others, he helped establish Silicon Graphics, Inc., and became the Vice President and Chief Scientist for the company. He also had roles in many other companies. For example, he was the Vice President for Omniverse Digital Solutions, Vice President for product architecture of Pulsent Corporation, and the Chief Technology Officer for SongPro. He also created many computer programs such as Indigo, Indigo 2, Personal IRIS, and Indy Graphics. These programs improved animations and special effects and were used to develop effects for many famous films including Jurassic Park, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Terminator 2. Today, he is still alive and is currently 66 years old.
